Monte-Lingual In Action #2
Monte-Lingual is a series of educational games based on the Montessori teaching method for preschool and elementary school children. Monte-Lingual explores math and language concepts based on multi-dimensional and sensory visualizations that enable children to absorb and master the concepts naturally. Monte-Lingual 1 to 10 is designed to introduce the most basic (but crucial) concept of numbers by a counting activity that employs various senses such as touch, sight, and sound to conceptualize “quantity” and “series” in a visual way. While absorbing the concept of counting, children can learn the numbers in multiple languages (ie English, Spanish, French, and Chinese). Activities and Features: – Count using the Montessori unit/bar concept – Children can have fun and interact with the marbles by flicking it to the other side and watch it bounce across the canvas – Marbles change color depending upon the quantity – Multi-touch allows children to learn the concept of skip counting by interacting with more than one marble – Ability for children to move marbles back to demonstrate counting backwards – Numbers are clearly pronounced and spoken in the chosen language on each flick – Spell mode allows numbers to be displayed in the chosen language – Discovery mode for younger children – Quiz mode for older children with multiple levels to earn new marble sets – 4 choices of marble sets – 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, and Chinese) – Classical background music or customize …

Let’s Play Mario is Missing! Video Walkthrough SNES (Part 3)
Welcome to my newest video walkthrough: Mario’s Missing! This video walkthrough will take you through the little known, lesser liked Mario is Missing for the Super Nintendo. This obscure title is Luigi’s first starring role, and though you may expect it to develop Luigi’s character a bit in a platforming role, it’s actually a edutanment title about geography. Stuck in Bowser’s Castle (who’s on Antartica trying to melt it), you have access to five doors. In each door, you must: a. Destroy turtles until you recover stolen artifacts. b. Return the three artifacts by answering history questions. c. Figure out where you are in the world so you can move Yoshi there and return to Bowser’s castle. Rinse and repeat five times until you “fight” the koopa kid for the floor you’re on and move to the next floor. This goes on for fifteen cities. As you can tell from watching, this game got horrible reviews, though I loved it as a kid for some reason. Without further ado, here’s Mario’s Missing for the Super Nintendo! Thanks for watching! CITIES COVERED: -San Fransisco, USA (Part 2/2) -BOSS: Ludwig Von Koopa -Athens, Greece -Buenos Aires, Argentina (Part 1/2)
Mario Kart Wii: Weegee On Wheels 11-20-09
Mario Kart races have always been hectic, often in doubt until the very end. The addition of online play in Mario Kart Wii was a welcome addition to the console market, as now players could face each other from around the world. In November 2008, a karter with the YouTube username Jughead870 created the “What Am I Thinking?” series, in which he reveals what he was thinking at various points in an online race. The series eventually covered all 32 tracks, several battle courses, and a bunch of insane hack-attacks. One day in September 2009, as I sat waiting for what promised to be an epic episode, usually with a hacker, I started wondering, “Why can’t I do the same thing?” This series was born, though I don’t add annotations for a few days, usually. My every-four-days pattern could easily have continued: I had no school on the 17th. However, I wasn’t about to make this pattern a rule, since the 25th was just 2 days before Thanksgiving, and I knew I would have to finish some schoolwork that night. Instead, I chose the 20th for my next episode, as school was canceled due to H1N1, which I had just been given the vaccine for. This episode took place on the one-year anniversary of Jughead870′s first upload. However, after attempting and failing to record the Rainbow Road chain-chomp competition, I decided to abandon the idea of a VS race, as I needed a battle episode for the first season. Therefore, I recorded two battles: balloons at Thwomp Desert and coins at Funky Stadium …
