About The DuSable

The DuSable Museum began at the home Dr. Margaret and Charles Burroughs in 1961. Since that time, the mission has been to collect, preserve and display artifacts and objects that promote understanding and inspire appreciation of the achievements, contributions, and experiences of African Americans through exhibits, programs, and activities that illustrate African American history, culture and art.

Service Provided

  • Learning Dimensions was helpful in designing integrative curriculum framework and modular lessons for DuSable Museum’s Discovering DuSable Digitally, and their Illinois Amistad Commission projects.
